The Cincinnati Bengals will have their star quarterback in action for their season-opener against the Cleveland Browns on the road at the Cleveland Browns Stadium this coming Sunday.
Joe Burrow revealed that he felt good during Wednesday's practice and is ready to go to action for the Week 1 game.
"I mean we're going to see how these next couple of days play out, because you never know with these things. I'm expecting to play," the 26-year-old said.
Burrow sustained a non-contact calf injury during the early days of training camp on July 27, wherein he had to be carted off the field.
The 2022 Pro Bowl selection returned to practice at full strength a month later last week on August 30, without any restrictions in his movement or a sleeve on his calf.

Contract extension looming for Burrow
Burrow will be entering the final year of his rookie contract, and he is eligible for a lucrative contract extension.
Being one of the best quarterbacks in the league, a potential new deal could make Burrow one of the highest-paid players in NFL history.
When asked, Burrow tried to stray away from the topic, reiterating that his main focus is the upcoming game against the Browns.
Despite that, the 2021 NFL Comeback Player of the Year has been vocal about his desire to stay in Cincinnati for the rest of his career.
"This is where I want to be. This is where I want to be my whole career. We're working toward making that happen," Burrow said.
