Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay's latest update regarding Cooper Kupp could raise concerns for fans of the Super Bowl LVI champions.
McVay said on Monday that the Super Bowl LVI MVP is visiting with doctors in Minnesota to clarify his hamstring injury, according to NFL insider Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
Kupp is still listed as day-to-day, and McVay expects to have more clarity by Wednesday about Kupp's status for their Week 1 game against the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday.
The 30-year-old only appeared in nine games during the 2022 NFL season before sustaining a season-ending high ankle sprain in Week 10.
McVay initially said last Thursday that Kupp suffered a setback regarding his hamstring injury and was listed day-to-day.
The 2021 Pro Bowl selection picked up the hamstring injury a month ago during team practice on August 1.

Kupp's absence forced development of other receivers
The absence of the 2021 First Team All-Pro caused other receivers, such as Van Jefferson and Tutu Atwell, to grow and develop, according to McVay.
"I think you just move forward, and you have to be able to operate with the situation and the guys we do have and if he's able to go then that's outstanding for us and, if not, then that's kind of how we've been operating," the Rams head coach said regarding Kupp's absence.
