Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid went candid about the standoff between the franchise and defensive tackle Chris Jones, which has been happening for a few months now.
Reid said he does not know what Jones' agenda is, whether he's returning or not. The 65-year-old is instead focused on the team and the bigger picture.
"Again, I don't spend a lot of time on it [Jones' contract situation]. I've got 90 guys, or I had 90 guys, in the offseason that we need to make sure were going in the right direction. And then now we're getting ready to play a game. You're either here or not here. That's how I go about it," the two-time Super Bowl-winning mentor said about the Jones saga.
Jones, who is set to enter the final year of his current deal, missed the whole training camp. The 29-year-old suggested that he could hold out until Week 8 of the 2023 NFL season after a lack of lucrative contract extension on the table.

Andy Reid's team once used a play from a janitor
Reid shared that during his days as an assistant with the Green Bay Packers in the 1990s, the team was able to use a play designed by a janitor.
The Chiefs coach did not state when exactly the play happened, but he said that the Packers were able to score off it just before halftime.
