Erling Haaland just can't stop winning at the moment.

The Norwegian striker claimed the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Men's Players' Player of the Year after a sensational debut season with Manchester City in 2022-23.

Haaland broke the Premier League record for most goals in a single campaign, finding the back of the net 36 times.

The 23-year-old scored an additional 12 goals in the UEFA Champions League, three in the FA Cup, and one in the EFL Cup to put his total goal tally last season at 52.

Haaland is the first player to win the individual accolade in his debut season in England since Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy did it in 2001-02 in his first year in Manchester United.

The former Borussia Dortmund player is also included in the 2022-23 PFA Team of the Year.

Haaland has continued to be clinical for Manchester City this season, scoring three goals in three Premier League appearances so far in 2023-24.

Erling Haaland's thoughts on MLS

The Manchester City striker told social media personality and celebrity fighter Logan Paul that it never crossed his mind to play in the American league.

"I've not been there [in the United States] much, so it's difficult to say. But I'm 23, people are going over to the MLS and playing football there, I've never thought of it because I'm young," Haaland said.

The league is expected to generate a record number in viewers and revenue after MLS club Inter Miami signed Argentine icon Lionel Messi for the next two years.
