"Keeping kicking on me while I'm down."

This is just one of the many tweets sent out by Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson a day after his fistfight with Cleveland Guardians star Jose Ramirez.

It looks like the kicking will get more intense, as further reports hint at his bad locker room attitude.

Shane Riordan of the Chicago-based sports site 670 The Score wrote an exclusive about how Anderson was once slapped by teammate Yasmani Grandal.

"Grandal wasn't in the lineup the day before the All-Star break. I wanted to just leave early. I made it very clear. Paraphrasing, TA said: 'Fuck him. If he doesn't want to be here, I'll pay for his flight."

Grandal walked over to TA in the tub and slapped him across the face."

X users pointed out this might be a common disagreement between teammates and nothing unusual.

Of course, it is easy to connect this to his altercation with Ramirez, which earned him a six-game suspension.

The next season might not get better

Anderson's current season is getting from bad to worse, a bad precursor for his 2024 season that gives him a $14 million team option.

The shortstop is not doing great statistically, averaging .244 with one home run and 19 RBIs in 87 games.

The club is also not doing well, sitting only in fourth place in the AL Central, 18 games behind a Wild Card spot.

There are 49 games left in the season, at least 43 games for Anderson. Can he get back up after the kicking?
