The NBA sent a memo to all 30 teams about Damian Lilillard's trade situation, where the league warned the Blazers superstar that he would be subject to discipline if he does not fully perform his duties if he is traded to another team aside from his preferred destination, Miami Heat.

The league made the statement following several remarks by Lillard's agent, Aaron Goodwin, about Lillard's desire to play in South Beach.
Goodwin has reportedly been calling prospective trade partners to warn against trading for one of the NBA's Greatest 75 Players, stating to teams outside of the Miami Heat that acquiring Lillard is trading for an unhappy player.
League officials interviewed both Goodwin and Lillard, as well as the teams that they spoke with, to investigate the matter.
The agent denied stating to any team that the seven-time NBA All-Star would refuse to play for them, assuring the league that Lillard would fully perform the services called for under his player contract in any trade scenario.

Damian Lillard could receive disciplinary sanctions
The NBA warned Lillard and his agent of possible repercussions if they suggest to teams that Lillard will not fully perform the services called for under his player contract if traded outside of the Miami Heat.
They have also advised the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) that any similar comments by players or their agents will be subject to discipline going forward.
