An upset for the ages or dawn of a new age?
Carlos Alcaraz outlasts Novak Djokovic in the finals of Wimbledon's Open Men's Singles, giving himself his second Grand Slam.
For this loss, Djokovic failed to add to his 23 Grand Slam titles, the most by any player.
The 20-year-old Spaniard became the third youngest to win Wimbledon behind Boris Becker and Björn Borg.
Alcaraz said he did not expect to reach this level quickly at his age.

"It's great to win but even if I had lost, I would be really proud of myself with this amazing run, making history in this beautiful tournament, playing a final against a legend of our sport," Alcaraz said.
"It's incredible, it's a dream come true, to be able to play in these stages. It's amazing, for a boy of 20 years old, I didn't expect to reach this kind of situation really fast. I am really, really proud of myself."
Heated in the grass, classy off it
The match was heated in the grass, with Djokovic beating the pole of the net with his racket. Before that, Alcaraz's camp was accused of spying Novak, prompting the defending champion to request for more privacy during his training.
After the match, it was a totally different Djokovic. He congratulated his opponent and even praised the young man, saying he agreed with people's assessment of Alcaraz.
"People have been talking about his game consisting of certain elements from Roger, Rafa, & myself," he said post-game.
"I'd agree with that. He's basically got the best of all 3 worlds... I haven't played a player like him ever."
