World number one tennis player Carlos Alcaraz admitted that his father may have filmed the practice sessions of his potential final opponent Novak Djokovic.
The Serbian star demanded more privacy in the ongoing Wimbledon, following the actions of the Spaniard's father, who has been accused of "spying."
However, the 20-year-old downplayed the claims, saying his father is simply a fan of the sport.
"My father is a huge fan of tennis. He doesn't only watch my matches... he watches practice from everyone. To be able to watch Djokovic in real-life, probably it's true," Alcaraz said when asked if his father was indeed filming the 23-time Grand Slam winner's practice sessions.
Alcaraz also noted that filming Djokovic does not give him a competitive advantage, as he has a lot of footage of the 36-year-old on every platform.
Djokovic notably defeated Alcaraz in the semifinal of the recent French Open last month after the latter suffered cramps.
Alcaraz is one step closer to Wimbledon dream
The Spaniard defeated Danish Holger Rune in the tournament's quarterfinal, 7-6(3), 6-4, 6-4, to reach his first Wimbledon semifinal.
Alcaraz, 20, became the youngest player to reach the semifinal of the oldest tennis tournament in the world since Djokovic did the same feat in 2007.
He also became the youngest number-one-ranked men's tennis player in history at 19 years old after winning the US Open in September 2022.
