Philadelphia Phillies are in the middle of the standings but believe things will only get better for them.

Whether as a team or issues that individual players are dealing with, there is a lot to improve.

Star Bryce Harper knows that. He believes there is more to come from him as he knows he is not yet in top form.

"I'm not where I want to be," Harper said in an interview with The Athletic.

"I'm not hitting the homers that I want or anything like that. I'm getting the hits when I need them. But I'm just not Bryce yet. I don't feel that. But I still feel like I'm having good at-bats. I still feel like I'm going out there and plugging along. We have a long ways to go. That's why we play a full season."

Harper's struggles and upcoming rest

The seven-time All-Star exited Saturday's game against the Miami Marlins after getting hit by a 90 mph fastball. The X-Ray turned out negative.

The Phillies were a bit lucky on that.

However, Harper is not that lucky in the first half of the season. He has not hit a homer in the last 36 games, the longest in his career.

Phillies manager Rob Thomson's faith in Harper has never wavered, though, and he believes he can return to top form.

Harper will need all the rest to move up in the table.

Aside from Harper becoming himself again, they also need more movements in the player market for reinforcement.
