PSG Manager Christophe Galtier Awaits Trial Following Harassment, Racism Allegations

Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier is currently entangled in a huge controversy after he and his son were arrested by French authorities last Friday following alleged racism.

Galtier is being accused of sending an email regarding his former squad OGC Nice, whom he managed during the 2021-22 season.

"You have built a team of scum. There are only blacks and half the team go to the mosque on Friday," Galtier allegedly wrote.

The 56-year-old has since denied the allegations. The outgoing PSG boss is set to stand trial in Nice, France, over accusations of psychological harassment and racial discrimination, per the public prosecutor involved in the case.

Galtier won the Ligue 1 title in 2020-21 with LOSC Lille and in 2022-23 with PSG.

Galtier Won't Be PSG Manager for Long

PSG are closing in on an agreement with Luis Enrique to become their new manager in a two-year deal, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 53-year-old tactician recently managed the Spanish national team, and he stepped down from the post after being eliminated in the round of 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Enrique notably managed FC Barcelona from 2014 to 2017, leading the Spanish heavyweights to the continental treble in his first season in 2014-15. He guided the fearsome trident of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar Jr., also known as MSN.

Enrique has won a trophy in the three seasons he has managed the Blaugrana club. Enrique will be reunited with 1/3 of MSN in Neymar if the Paris move becomes official.
