ESPN broadcaster and former NBA player Kendrick Perkins might have uttered false information in a recent episode of SportsCenter while talking about the Golden State Warriors.
As the SportsCenter news ticker mentioned uncertainty surrounding the Warriors' future with Draymond Green declining his player option for the 2023-24 season and long-time manager Bob Myers departing the franchise, Perkins remarked about the team's lottery pick Jonathan Kuminga.
The 38-year-old analyst said that he heard reports saying that the Congolese wing is now 7-foot-2, noting that the 20-year-old has improved each season, possessing a nice skill set and through-the-roof athletic ability.

Is Jonathan Kuminga Really 7-Foot-2?
A parody account on Twitter initially fueled the rumors by playfully mentioning in a tweet that Kuminga has grown from 6-foot-7 to 7 feet tall.
While nothing much can be picked up from a tweet, Warriors legend Andre Iguodala replied to the tweet, seemingly offering inside information.
The 2015 NBA Finals MVP said he just saw Kuminga and revealed he is now standing at 7-foot-2 tall.
The parody account answered that the wing would be 7-foot-8 by next week, and he later clarified that his original tweet was not true and that he was just "trolling."
This is nowhere near true y’all this is a joke. Too many of y’all thinking this is the truth ðŸ˜

A fan account posted a photoshopped photo featuring a larger Kuminga towering over Jordan Poole while quoting Iguodala's tweet. This may have led Perkins to believe the social media joke.
