Spears said picking the Chiefs is an easy guess. Although he recognized that it would be a long season, the 40-year-old is willing to bet on Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid due to their resiliency for the past few years.
The NFL veteran also noted that despite the Philadelphia Eagles being the better overall team during the last Super Bowl, he still thought that the Chiefs would win the game due to the presence of Mahomes.
Spears played for nine seasons in the NFL, spending the first eight years with the Dallas Cowboys from 2005 to 2012. He ended his career after playing for one season with the Baltimore Ravens in 2013.

No Back-To-Back NFL Super Bowl Champs For 18 Years
Winning back-to-back Super Bowl titles is a rare feat, and it has only been done eight times. The last time it happened, smartphones did not exist yet.
The New England Patriots were the last team to win consecutive Super Bowls, doing so in 2004 and 2005.
The Patriots nearly repeated the feat when they made it to three successive Super Bowls from 2017 to 2019. However, they lost the 2018 edition to the Philadelphia Eagles, ultimately failing to achieve consecutive Super Bowl wins.
The Chiefs already had the chance to achieve the milestone after winning the Super Bowl 2020. They made it back to the NFL championship game in 2021 but fell short against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
