Former New York Giants wide receiver Travis Rudolph has been found not guilty of one count of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder by a Palm Beach County jury stemming from an April 2021 shooting incident.

The shooting killed one man and wounded another, several hours after Rudolph had an altercation with his ex-girlfriend Dominique Jones, per ESPN.

Travis Rudolph Arrested in April 2021

The former Giants wide receiver was arrested on April 7, 2021, right after the incident happened. His lawyer pushed for the former Florida State player's release from jail on a $160,000 cash bond less than a month later. He was put on house arrest subsequently.

Rudolph's trial for murder started at the end of last month.

The 27-year-old signed with the New York Giants after being undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft. He was assigned to the practice squad but was promoted to the active roster following multiple injuries among receivers on the team. Rudolph was waived by the Giants a year later.

The Miami Dolphins signed him right after, but he sustained a torn ACL on his first day of practice.

Rudolph tried his luck with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League, signing with the team in early 2020.

However, he was not able to play a single game for the team due to the CFL season getting canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Blue Bombers released Rudolph after his arrest in April 2021.
