Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant has fond memories of the McDonald's All-American Game, which he took part of back in 2006 before he proceeded to college and then the NBA.
KD made the revelation in the latest episode of his podcast titled "The ETCs with Kevin Durant." When asked by his co-host about his opinion on the annual event that pits the best senior high school players in the nation, Durant admitted that it gave him the "greatest experience" he had in basketball.

Kevin Durant Speaks on McDonald's All-American Game
The 34-year-old superstar shared how it was his first time in San Diego and how he was able to bond and just build a relationship with his fellow elite hoopers in the nation.
"You get to hang out with them, see a different side of them. It's like perfect because your school is almost ending, your season is over with, you can kind of just chill and relax and then the All-Star games start to hit and then boom you're right into summer school. It's a quick transition with all that stuff but it's so much fun," Durant explained.
For those not in the know, Kevin Durant won't MVP in the competition along with former NBA player Chase Budinger. Their team West dominated the East players, 112-94, with Durant scoring 25 points in the showdown.
Clearly, Durant had the time of his life in the McDonald's All-American Game. With that said, it's no wonder why the event continues to be a popular attraction for high school basketball players every year.
The 2023 iteration of the McDonald's All-American game was held Tuesday, with the son of Lakers star LeBron James--Bronny James--participating as well.
