As the NCAA Tournament enters its Final Four stage, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James reminisced the time when he watched Stephen Curry lead Davidson to the Elite 8 of the March Madness.

Back in 2008, Curry powered Davidson over Wisconsin with a 33-point eruption in the Sweet 16 of the competition. It was the game that Curry made his name even more popular to the whole nation, even impressing then Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James.

LeBron James Knew Stephen Curry Was 'Special'

James was in attendance in the epic game, and so he witnessed live how a new legend was born. Bleacher Report posted a video of James' reaction to Curry's big day on Tuesday in the 15th year of the contest, and his disbelief was crystal clear.

James reshared the video on his Instagram stories and captioned it with, "knew he was special."

LeBron James couldn't have been more correct with his statement. As everyone knows, Stephen Curry went on to become a four-time NBA champion and two-time NBA MVP. In fact, little did LeBron know that time that Curry would become one of the biggest thorns on his side in his quest to win multiple championships.

Despite that, however, James clearly has nothing but respect and admiration for Curry. It's not the first time he mentioned how special Curry is. He said the same thing to him back in 2019 when remembering that Davidson moment. Sure enough, LeBron has been a fan of the sharpshooter ever since then.

"Wasn't some kid to me! I knew he was SPECIAL that's why I went to see it up close and personal!" LeBron wrote on Twitter at the time.
