This coming Sunday, two red-hot teams will lock horns as the Indianapolis Colts host the Tennessee Titans in a critical Week 8 clash at the Lucas Oil Stadium. Which side will record the victory in this AFC South showdown? Here's our preview of the Titans vs Colts clash.
Tennessee Titans installed as -1.5 favorites
The Tennessee Titans stretched their winning run to three games with a dominant 27-3 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. It was a big win for the Titans, who maintained their two-game advantage atop the AFC South standings. The Titans showed their title credentials as they won their second game in six days over teams that contested the AFC championship last season.

Tennessee's victory would not be possible without the incredible play of the Titans' defense. They played their best game of the season in the win against Kansas City, holding the Chiefs to three points and forcing a total of three turnovers. Two of those were committed by Patrick Mahomes, which the Titans converted into 10 points.
The Titans recorded four sacks in Week 7, 2 of which came from Denico Autry. Mahomes had difficulty dealing with the Titans' pressure all afternoon, finishing with just 206 yards passing and no touchdowns. He struggled mightily in the first half, completing just 5 of 9 passes for 59 yards with two turnovers. Mahomes finished with a passer rating of 62.3, the lowest of his career in the regular season.
The Titans hope to continue that excellent form on the defensive end in the game against the Colts. They already faced each other once this season, with the Titans holding Carson Wentz to just 194 yards passing in a 25-16 win.

Despite the tough conditions, Pittman gave the Colts excellent field position throughout the game, catching four passes for 105 yards and drawing two other critical pass interference calls. Wentz and Pittman will look to dissect a Titans secondary that is ninth-worst in the NFL in passing defense, allowing 273.6 yards per game through the air this season.
