OnePlus is rumored to be working on its next addition to the OnePlus family. Several reports have indicated that the upcoming smartphone will not be called OnePlus 4, as it ideally should be. Instead, the 2017 OnePlus device is given the name OnePlus 5.

According to a report published by India Today, OnePlus is currently working on the expected OnePlus 5 smartphone. While the exact date of the device is still unknown, it is widely believed that the company plans on launching OnePlus 5 in Q2 this year. In other words, the device can be expected to arrive by end of June at the very least.

Another report published by Gizbot claims that the OnePlus flagship smartphone was even spotted online recently. It is suggested that the OnePlus 5 smartphone was spotted on China's Radio Regulation Authority database while carrying the codename, A5000.

As leaks keeping churning up, an online report by GSMArena mentions all the possible specifications of the OnePlus 5. The device is expected to carry a 7mm thickness and is rumored to be dual-SIM enabled. On the display front, the OnePlus 5 smartphone will be packing a 5.5-inch optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution.

Moreover, the smartphone is further expected to be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with Oxygen OS support. On the software front, the OnePlus 5 smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 octa-core (4x2.35GHz Kryo and 4x1.9GHz Kryo) along with Adreno 540 GPU chipset.
