Google's Pixel C and Nexus devices are finally getting the Android 7.1.2 Nougat update. Some users were already able to download it over the weekend, while some are still waiting for the Android 7.1.2 update.

The Google Pixel C arrived nearly one-and-a-half years ago but the device did not quite swirl conversation among smartphone enthusiasts. However, Google did not stop the Pixel C but continued to improve the device's features as often as possible. Lining with this, a Redditor named 'jonnyaas' has confirmed that the Pixel C's upcoming software update will further enhance its interface.

Reddit posts Pixel C owners suggest that a 340.1 MB update is already available for some users to download. The update does not include just the latest version of the OS, Android 7.1.2 but also the latest Android security patches.

One of the most noticeable features in the Android 7.1.2 Nougat update is the multitasking view. The Goggle will also replace the scrolling list of open apps with a grid view and displaying the user's eight most recently-used programs. The latest Android 7.1.2 Nougat update is expected to tweak the Pixel C's cosmetic appearance to mimic the Pixel's, by giving it identical buttons, that are further adorned with blue-grey aesthetic, similar its smaller variant.

According to valuewalk, apart from the Android update, the Pixel C will also get the much sought-after TWRP support. Even though there are various ROMs there for the smartphone, TWRP was missed, but this is no longer the case. Google does not look very keen to bring Google Assistant in any of its tablets, including the Pixel C.

However it is still unknown on when 7.1.2 will make its way to other devices. The latest update should come with small changes like Android logos on the Pixel smartphones' boot screen and gesture controls on the rear-side fingerprint scanner on the Nexus 6 smartphones.
