Following the news that the NBA called Cavs GM David Griffin just few minutes after declaring that their three star players will not play against the LA Clippers, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving felt there is something that others need to understand in pulling such move.

Sports World News previously reported that the Cleveland GM revealed that he was contacted by the NBA and they were not happy about the decision resting James, Irving and Kevin Love. They also defended that Kyrie suffered tightness on his knee and Love is still recuperating with his own knee injury that forced him to sit down for about a month.

LeBron told ESPN that despite NBA doing a great job of putting the schedule together, the instances of having a back-to-back games cannot be avoided. You're going to have certain games where certain things fall on certain nights, but a coach's job is to figure out a way for their team to compete for a championship, not compete for a game," he added. "At the end of the day, it sucks at times where certain guys have to rest, but certain guys need rest," the 4-time MVP added.

"The smart way of taking care of your body and understanding what the important goal is at the end of the season it's at the forefront of our minds," Irving said. The former Duke guard also agreed to what LeBron raised, emphasizing that they are playing for a championship run.

On the report from The Score, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver took emphasis that teams who will be resting their stars will be handed down 'significant penalties. The NBA head honcho added that each team owners should be more involved in making the decisions in notifying all concerned personnel, including the media, league office and their opponent themselves.

Chris Bosh, who is currently part of "Players Only" panel with Baron Davis, Isiah Thomas, Kevin Garnett and Chris Webber, also threw himself in the picture by supporting the NBA's cause as reported by CBA Miami. The former Miami Heat wingman had one simple message to everybody: "If you can play, go out there and play."

Bosh is currently under contract with the Heat but forced to stop playing due to blood clots in his system. With him coming from the not-playing point of view, his urge of pushing the players to play if they can isn't just an order but a commitment.
