According to a recent report, Apple is planning to launch its new iPads at an event in early April. It will mark the inauguration of new Apple Park campus by unveiling rumored 10.5-inch iPad Pro.

As written in DigiTimes, Apple has moved ahead of the production for its planned new 10.5-inch iPad Pro to March and is expected to unveil the new iPad at a product event to be held in early April according to Taiwan-based supply chain makers. Earlier, the timetable was set for May-June to release it in the yearly event.

Sources said that the 10.5-inch iPad will target education and business sectors. Apple will also unveil an upgraded 12.9-inch iPad Pro. These two models will be company's mainstream products in 2017. Expected initial shipments of the new 10.5-inch iPad are likely to reach one million units and are expected to increase up to 1.2 million units a month from the second quarter.

When it comes to 9.7-inch iPad, shipments are likely to reach 3-4 million units a month in the first quarter and the volume will grow significantly starting the second quarter. There is no news for 12.9-inch iPad Pro but its volume production might begin in May-June.

While there are only speculations about the launching date, one thing is sure that Apple will unveil its tablet family within next month as official site is showing estimated shipment in 3-4 weeks. According to MacRumors, if an event takes place in April, it could be held at the new campus that is going to open in next month. However, the company's press release said the auditorium where events will be held, the Steve Jobs Theater, will open later this year. So it is unclear where the event will take place.

Apple's new 10.5-inch iPad is rumored to have a bezel-free edge-to-edge display and with the same body size as the existing 9.7-inch iPad Pro. Fans are very excited for the event.
