There are only four weeks left before the 2016-17 NBA regular season ends but there are some teams still being hit by the injury bug. Here is the latest NBA injury report regarding Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors, Kristaps Porzingis of the New York Knicks and more.
Kevin Durant Slowly Progressing in Rehab
The Warriors still has not timetable for the return of injured superstar Kevin Durant, who suffered a sprained left MCL in his knee two weeks ago. According to CSN Bay Area, Durant is already in rehab but he is slowly progressing.
Despite the slow progress, the Warriors are very optimistic and encouraged that Durant is already participating in the team's shootaround. The former MVP is set to be re-evaluated in two weeks to determine if he is ready to return to the court or if he will be out for much longer.
Kristaps Porzingis Suffers Thigh Injury
The New York Knicks' season just got even more disappointing when Kristaps Porzingis suffered a thigh injury in the win over the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday. However, Porzingis told reporters after the game that it is only a contusion and not a serious injury.
"It's a contusion. It's pretty stiff, it's stiffening up now, but it's nothing serious, nothing with the knee, nothing with the hip, it's only a thigh contusion," Porzingis said, via CBS Sports.
Kevin Love Returning From Injury Soon
The Cleveland Cavaliers are going to get Kevin Love back very soon and it could happen during the team's road trip that will start on March 18, per NBA.com. Love underwent surgery on his left knee on Valentine's Day and he was expected to be out for six weeks.
The 28-year-old All-Star was having his season in a Cavaliers uniform when he felt some discomfort in his knee. The Cavaliers need all the players can get since they have lost four out of their last six games with the Boston Celtics only behind by two and a half games in the standings.
Chandler Parsons to Undergo Season-Ending Knee Surgery
