Jeremy Lin and the Brooklyn Nets played their first home game since before the All-Star break on Sunday against the New York Knicks. Lin struggled in the first three quarters before torching his former team in the final quarter to help the Nets earn their 12th win of the season.

The Nets are coming off an eight-game road trip that started after the All-Star break in Denver and ended on Friday at Dallas. The team won two games out of the eight but the arrival of Jeremy Lin has had a lot of impact on the Nets.

It was not evident in the first three quarters of the Nets' 120-112 victory over the Knicks at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Jeremy Lin managed to only score four points with zero field goals entering the final quarter, as reported by NBA.com.

"Linsanity" came out alive the final five minutes of the game wherein he scored nine of his 13 points. He also added four rebounds, five assists and one steal but he only shot 21.4 percent from the field. However, it did not matter as Jeremy Lin scored at the right moment.

The Harvard product hit a big three-point shot inside five minutes for his first field goal to halt the Knicks' momentum. He was also involved in two pivotal plays that proved too much for New York to overcome.

Jeremy Lin drew the sixth foul of Kristaps Porzingis and he helped Caris LeVert stop Carmelo Anthony during a critical possession. Although his shooting was not on for the whole, Lin proved that he can come alive in the clutch.

In a postgame interview with Newsday, Jeremy Lin was asked about his cold shooting night and his reaction about the win. He jokingly said that he is still feeling the effects of the eight-game road trip but he is happy that he was able to help the team win.

"I think I was still out west for the first three and a half quarters and gladly, I was able to show up a little bit. It felt like I was letting my team down and, I don't know. I wasn't doing what I felt like I needed to do. I just tried to stay aggressive and really kept my mind on playing my position," Lin said.

Jeremy Lin started his career with the Golden State Warriors but he gained worldwide attention during his time with the New York Knicks in 2012. Although "Linsanity 2.0" has not come out, Lin has proven that he is a good player who can stay in the league.
