It has been a frustrating season for the Chicago Bulls, to say the least. After the offseason acquisitions of veterans Dwyane Wade, Rajon Rondo and Robin Lopez, the Bulls were seen as a potential contender in the Eastern Conference. Suffice to say, it hasn’t panned out – and recently, Wade threw some shade at the Bulls’ upper management.

Following the Chicago Bulls’ embarrassing effort that led to a 100-80 to the Boston Celtics Sunday, Dwyane Wade implied that general manager Gar Forman and vice president of basketball operations John Paxson have a big part of why the product on the floor has been struggling. “I wish upper management could be answering these questions,” Wade told reporters following the game, adding that he doesn’t want to say too much – referring to an incident that saw him and fellow star Jimmy Butler get fined for speaking out about the team’s trouble to the media.

As noted by the Chicago Sun Times, the Chicago Bulls lost their fifth straight game Sunday, falling to 31-35, and 1.5 games behind the eight place Milwaukee Bucks. As noted by Bleacher Report, the Bulls, who have struggled with spacing and shooting the entire season, made a trade deadline deal that sent their best shooter Doug McDermott, along with veteran Bull Taj Gibson to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Chicago Sun Times also points out that the Bulls are now trying to incorporate seven new players to the team’s scheme – a difficult proposition for coach Fred Hoiberg, who is also being asked to develop young players, while making a push for the playoffs.

“A lot of people have a lot of things they can say about Fred as a coach – I will defend him on this – this is a tough position he’s put in now,” Dwyane Wade said. The three-time NBA champion, though put the onus on himself and Jimmy Butler to do what they can to help the young players on the Chicago Bulls’ roster. As noted by Bleacher Report, Wade has a player option for 2017-18 that would allow him to leave following this season.
