The supposed April 23 Manny Pacquiao vs Amir Khan boxing match in UAE has been called off. The cancellation of the Pacquiao vs Khan fight has again opened the who will be Pacquiao's next opponent sweepstakes open.

Back in February, Manny Pacquiao started a twitter poll asking his fans to vote on who they wanted to be Pacquiao's next opponent. In the said poll, Amir Khan edged Kell Brook, Jeff Horn and Terence Crawford. Negotiations for the Manny Pacquiao vs Amir Khan immediately followed with the target to make the bout happen on April 23 at UAE.

However, according to BBC, the negotiations for the prospective UAE Pacquiao fight did not push through. Boxing and Manny Pacquiao promoter, Bob Arum said that the $38million for the bout did not materialize.

According to ESPN, Bob Arum has already declared that Amir Khan will not be Pacquiao's next opponent. The boxing promoter also said that a Pacquiao vs Khan fight, if its going to happen, may be scheduled in November. He also said that he is considering two names to be Pacquiao's next opponent.

Arum was in the middle of negotiating a Manny Pacquiao vs Jeff Horn fight that is supposed to be held in Australia this April when the Filipino pugilist decided to explore the Amir Khan bout instead. The Pacquiao vs Horn fight may still be explored following the Pacquiao vs Khan fight cancellation.

Arum also said hinted on a possible Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner fight or a Manny Pacquiao vs Terrence Crawford bout. The boxing promoter also said that the two fight is the biggest fight out there for Pacquiao and not the Amir Khan duel.

No concrete details have emerged as to who is the front runner to be Manny Pacquiao's next opponent. However, the next Manny Pacquiao fight may happen this July.
