Tiger Woods' Olympic downhill skiing champion girlfriend Lindsey Vonn crashed while training on Tuesday, putting her return from major knee surgery at least temporarily on hold.

According to ESPN, Vonn was carted off the slopes at Copper Mountain, Colo. on a sled, which is standard procedure, and is now being evaluated at a local hospital. U.S. Ski Team spokesperson Tom Kelly told ESPN he was not sure if Vonn reinjured her surgically repaired right knee during the mishap.

"We have no reason to believe it's anything significant right now," added Kelly.

With her knee feeling so good she was reported to be several months ahead of schedule, Vonn recently talked about her returncompete in several season-opening events. She recently boasted her "super-G is some of the best super-G I've ever skied."

As recently as Monday, Vonn tweeted from Copper Mountain "catching some air today in Downhill training."
