People were shocked to know that Samsung did not announce its flagship phone Samsung Galaxy S8 at the industry's largest mobile show, Mobile World Congress. Instead, Samsung announced the date for the Galaxy S8 event.

The South Korean company announced when it would be announcing the new flagship, Samsung Galaxy S8. Samsung will hold the separate event for its flagship launch on March 29 in New York. According to some reports, Samsung delayed the launch due to Galaxy Note 7's incident.

There are many photos, videos and even press images have leaked. As written in The Verge, there is a rumor that the fingerprint reader is at the rear of Samsung Galaxy S8.

SamMobile also speculates that it could also work as a physical home button but it is very unlikely because the user has to go rear every time which is annoying. Latest leaks indicate that Samsung Galaxy S8 will sport gorgeous edge-to-edge display.

Samsung has not declared when will the device be available to people but many sources suggest Samsung Galaxy S8 will be available in a market around mid-April. Very specifically, it would be 21 April.

Samsung will announce Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus at the event. Samsung cleverly watched other companies' phones launched in MWC 2017 and ensured that no competing phones run the Snapdragon 835 processor.

Samsung partnered with Qualcomm to develop the new 10nm chip and it holds the exclusive. Till now, Sony announced a phone which sports Snapdragon 835 that is Xperia XZ Premium but it will not come in the market until spring ending. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will sport the latest Snapdragon 835 processor.

Samsung has not declared any reason behind the delay in the release of Samsung Galaxy S8. Fans are excited to see Samsungs first ever phone with an edge-to-edge display. For more updates stay tuned with SWN!
