Apple, the Cupertino tech giant is planning to release its most powerful device iPhone 8 with improved features in September 2017. Also, it is considered to be a significant year for the iPhone as it marks Apple's 10th anniversary of the launch of the original iPhone.

In fact, iPhone 8 would be the first phone to feature iris scanner. It allows users to log-in to a device or application without a fingerprint or password and authenticates themselves securely with their eyes. Whereas the other models including iPhone 8, iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S+ will also have a support for wireless charging.

According to DigiTimes, Apple will start delivering parts and components of iPhone 8 early this year. Apple has also requested its chip suppliers and parts makers to begin trial production and arrange inventories for iPhone 8.

The deliveries of chips and components for the forthcoming iPhone models are likely to begin in the second half of first-quarter 2017. The upcoming iPhone 8 will feature OLED panels. Apple has ordered in sufficient amount of OLED panels from Samsung Display. Moreover, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo just reiterated predictions that 2017 iPhone family would consist of OLED-based iPhone 8 model packed with the latest technologies, whereas LCD-based iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s+ refreshes.

iPhone 8 might be 30% to 50% costlier than its predecessor. Due to the use of components like an expensive OLED display with embedded sensors, an enhanced 3D Touch module, improved water resistance, fast wireless charging and an extra graphite sheet lamination that prevents the device from overheating due to wireless charging, as per idrop News.
