Jeremy Lin and the Brooklyn Nets are feeling good heading into their game on Friday against the Utah Jazz. The Nets ended their 16-game losing streak on Wednesday by defeating the Sacrament Kings as part of their hellacious eight-game road trip.

The win against the Kings was Lin's third game back from a hamstring injury and he was vital in making sure that the Nets will end their losing skid. He hit a pair of free throws with 11.7 seconds left in the fourth quarter to ice the game.

Jeremy Lin played for almost 20 minutes, which is a good sign for someone coming off an injury. He was able to put up 17 points and dish out five assists. Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson had nothing but praised for the point guard.

"It's nice having Jeremy out there. Instead of the ball going around haphazardly, he really directs it. I give him a lot of credit," Atkinson told Newsday.

The Nets specifically signed Jeremy Lin to a three-year, $36 million deal last summer to be the team's starting point guard. He previously played under Atkinson back with the New York Knicks during his "Linsanity" run of 2012.

Even though Lin's first year in Brooklyn is not the best of his career due to injury, he is feeling confident heading into the final stretch of the season. He also told Newsday that the win against the Kings was big because they will carry some momentum into their next games.

"To get this monkey off our back feels really, really good. It feels good just to see tangible results of your work sometimes," Lin said.

Brook Lopez also had a big hand in the Nets' win over the Kings. He scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds while becoming the second Nets player in franchise history to reach 10,000 points. He is set to pass Buck Williams at the end of the season for most points in Nets history, per Nets Daily.
