Undefeated UFC interim lightweight title contender Khabib Nurmagomedov threw some jabs at Conor McGregor while discussing the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson match for the UFC interim lightweight title belt. Nurmagomedov also questioned the result of the McGregor vs Alvarez title match.

The undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov will be facing against Tony Ferguson for the UFC interim lightweight title belt. The Khabib vs Ferguson match is scheduled on Mach 4 and will be the co-main event of UFC 209: Woodley vs Thompson 2. UFC 209 will be held at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

Khabib Nurmagomedov who is now enjoying a 24-0 record, eight of which came from the octagon, believes that the March 4 Nurmagodemov vs Ferguson UFC 209 fight is the real lightweight title match.

The Khabib vs Ferguson UFC 209 lightweight match will only be for the interim UFC belt. However, speaking with UFC, Nurmagodemov said that he doesn't think that the match is for the interim belt and that whoever wins the title fight will become the real champion.

Khabib Nurmagomedov also had some spicy words against the inactive UFC lightweight title holder, Conor McGregor. According to FoxSports, Nurmagomedov referred to the McGregor vs Alvarez fight as fake.

The undefeated Russian fighter also said that the lightweight belt was gifted by UFC President Dana White to McGregor. He also said that a lot of people have questions about how the McGregor vs Alvarez fight ended.

Speaking to ESPN, the undefeated UFC lightweight title contender said that the Nurmagodemov vs Ferguson will be the greatest lightweight fight in the history of UFC. With the skills that both fighters have, the fight may just be as good as predicted.

There have been reports that whoever wins the Nurmagomedov vs Ferguson UFC interim lightweight title match will face Conor McGregor next. But with McGregor still chasing a huge payday by booking a fight against Floyd Mayweather, the future UFC fight is still uncertain.
