The Alexander Gustafsson vs Glover Teixeira UFC light heavyweight fight card will headline UFC's return to Sweden. The Gustafsson vs Teixeira fight card will take place on May 28 at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm.

Alexander Gustafsson's last UFC fight was way back August of 2016 where he faced Jan Blachowicz. Gustafsson won the match via unanimous decision.

Gustafsson was scheduled to fight Antonio Rogerio Nogueira last November as part of the UFC Fight Night 100. However, Alexander Gustafsson had to pull out from the match due to a back injury.

According to ESPN, Alexander Gustafsson's problematic back will not be an issue on the upcoming UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs Teixeira. Gustafsson has expressed his confidence on the training regimen that he and his team is currently employing for the match.

Glover Teixeira's last UFC bout was during the UFC 208 last Feb. 11. Teixeira won that match over Jarred Cannonier.

The hard-hitting Brazilian has won four of his last five UFC fights. The single loss mark in Glover Teixeira's five-fight record was caused by Anthony Johnson.

Anthony Johnson defeated Glover Teixeira at UFC 210. According to Fox, Teixeira already has is eyes' set to a possible rematch with Johnson. To set a possible Johnson vs Teixeira rematch, Teixeira must first win the upcoming UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs Teixeira.

The winner of the upcoming UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs Teixeira will be considered as the number one contender for the UFC light heavyweight title. The belt is currently held by Daniel Cormier.

Daniel Cormier will be defending his belt ion UFC 210 in April against Anthony Johnson. The winner of the Cormier vs Johnson match may face the winner of the Gustafsson vs Teixeira UFC bout.

The UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs Teixeira is slated for May 28. Ticket sales for the match will begin on March 31.
