Microsoft game console Xbox One and Windows 10 is soon expected to see an influx of new games. Microsoft unveiled the Xbox Live Creators Program at the Game Developers Conference. This program will empower any user to rapidly publish Xbox Live enabled games on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.

If this has to be seen in general terms, this program basically allows anyone to create Universal Windows Platform games, can easily integrate Xbox Live features which includes Live sign-in, presence, social, GameDVR and broadcasting, leaderboards, stats, but not Achievements. Users can publish them on Xbox One and the Windows 10 Store. Creator Program games will be available on Xbox One through a dedicated new section of the console's store.

This simply means that their titles will be seen to every Xbox One owner across the Xbox One family of devices, this includes Project Scorpio this holiday and 100s of Windows 10 PCs as well as millions of folks using the Xbox app on mobile platforms, as explained by the director of Microsoft's independent developer program Chris Charla.

Charla further explains that the process results in minimal additional development time and it won't require developers to to use new tools if they are already building UWP games. This will also work with retail Xbox One systems and it will not require developers to buy costly development kits.

The Microsoft is launching a Creators Program as a limited preview for now which is only available to some developers. The SDK are available through Microsoft's website and submission for publishing games will be open to everyone pretty soon.

Few other changes are also on the way for both Xbox One and Windows 10 with creators update coming up. This will introduce a new guide and home screen on Xbox One. It will be interesting how this idea pans out for both Microsoft and the users.
