Looks like a happy reunion maybe happening soon this season in the NBA. In a season that's focused on the drama and feud between two former teammates in Golden State Warriors All-Star forward Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook, news of Dallas Mavericks point guard Deron Williams coming back to the Utah Jazz may come as a breath of fresh air for NBA fans.

With the trade deadline already nearing its end, the Utah Jazz has reportedly expressed interest in trading for their former All-Star point guard Deron Williams of the Dallas Mavericks, according to a report from ESPN. Deron Williams is currently in his second season with the Dallas Mavericks.

Deron Williams was drafted number 3 overall by the Utah Jazz back in 2005. In five and a half seasons with the Utah Jazz, Deron Williams spent his best years of his playing career.

Deron Williams teamed up with former All-Star power forward Carlos Boozer and together made the Utah Jazz a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference. The All-Star duo made the Utah Jazz perennial title contenders.

But despite the good years, Deron Williams' tenure with the Utah Jazz ended in ugly fashion. During a game in the 2011 NBA season, Deron Williams and head coach Jerry Sloan clashed during halftime.

The argument with Deron Williams went too far and that led to Jerry Sloan's abrupt retirement in the middle of the 2011 season, via a report from CBS Sports. Two weeks after Jerry Sloan's retirement, the Utah Jazz traded Deron Williams to the Brooklyn Nets. Ever since then, Utah Jazz fans continue to boo Deron Williams every time the Dallas Mavericks come to Utah.

Deron Williams, 32, would have to give his consent before any trade with the Utah Jazz is consummated. Deron Williams would also have to waive his Bird rights if ever he is traded. So far this season with the Dallas Mavericks, Deron Williams is averaging 13.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game.
