After witnessing exciting singles skills competition during the event's curtain raiser, the Russian All-Stars has shown the World All-Stars whose house they are in as they beat the latter, 131-121 in the first ever VTB United League All-Star game in Sochi.

Bolshoi Sports Palace was in it, enjoying every moment of the high-scoring game with the participants having fun during the break before going back to action in a couple more days. Russian team surged ahead clicking as they are hitting their shots all over the court, finishing with 45 points just in the first quarter as posted by EuroBasket.

Andrey Vorontsevich led the home team with team high 28 points on top with 7 boards to gain the MVP honors. Former NBA guard Alexey Shved had a near triple-double of 27 points, 8 boards and 7 assists for the reds, who also got a double-double from Viktor Khryapa with 11 markers and 10 caroms.

Latvian Janis Blums and French Nando de Colo led the World team with 18 points each. American guard Keith Langford from UNICS Kazan added 16 points for the "visiting" team, who mostly played catch-up game against the Russians.

In the other skills event, Sergey Karasev captured the first ever Three-Point Shooting championship that solidified his status as one of the elite long distance shooters in the league. Karasev, who had stints with Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets scored 23 points, beating Lokomitiv Kuban's Ryan Broekhoff's 21 and VEF Riga's 19.

Latvian Janis Timma blew the arena's roof off with his impressive dunks en route to winning the first Slam Dunk Championship of this year's event as per reports from Eurohoops. He scored a perfect 50 points in the final round to beat Avtodor Saratov's Maxim Kolyunshkin.
