While everybody's eyes are monitoring the progress of the Pelicans trying to get Jahlil Okafor from the Sixers before the deadline, there's somebody from the inside who is willing to do anything just to let him spread his wings -- even if it means leaving his own team.

Reports from NBC Sports stated that French center Alexis Ajinca is ready for anything but also talked about how he is itching to play on the floor. He was never fielded by coach Alvin Gentry for 11 straight games and only played once in their last 19 outings with a grand total of three minutes.

"The contract is good, but at the end of the day, I'm a competitor and I just want to play and be able to bring what I can to a team," the six-year NBA player said. " If it's here, it would be great. But if it's not, then I just go somewhere else."

For the 20th pick of the 2008 Draft, the erstwhile Charlotte Bobcats draftee also shared that he is open to trade, especially if the trade means an opportunity to play more minutes on the floor and help his team at any cost.

"I don't care where I'm going, as long as I'm playing," the member of the French national team. "I'm ready for whatever."

Despite his statements, the 28-year old big man said that he is still going to his daily on-court routine before each game. He is also doing his part even if he's riding on the bench supporting his teammates.

The Pelicans' third string big man insisted that he will focus on the things that he has full control of, which is keeping himself healthy and in basketball shape.

Ajinca, who is currently on the second season of his four-year contract with the Pelicans worth $20.2 million, has played 21 games with the Pelicans, averaging 4.3 points per game and 4.3 boards in 14.1 minutes per outing.
