Valentine's Day is near and many people are making various special plans around the world to celebrate the occasion with their loved ones. The location-based reality game, developed by Niantic; Pokémon Go is also not left behind.

According to USA Today, Pokémon Go is doing something special this valentine's day for its game players. The users of the game will have the chance to earn more points with respect to Valentine's Day for Pokémon Go under the theme "share the love".

The game players will be able to earn double the amount of candy they normally would earn. Apart from this, as Valentine's day is a day for love which is expressed by pink color, therefore pink characters such as Clefable and Jigglypuff will appear more often in the game.

Lures will also last for six hours instead of their usual ½ hours. Forbes reported that this special event and features for Valentine's Day has been started and will last until February 15, 11 AM pacific time.

On social media, there were mostly positive reviews regarding the Pokémon Go Valentine's Day event. Some of the users also noted in their social media updates that they would love to find a pink Pokémon on Valentine's Day rather than spending time in the arms of their loved ones.

Pokémon Go has not introduced many new characters in the game but it has offered a lot through this valentine day event which the players like much and will like more. For example, within the game, Chansey is a rarest Pokémon which is not so easy to find, but this time it can be a nice moment for those players who don't have one can find this Pokémon finally at last.

This event can also attract new players in the next few days. Already it is being reported that the game has passed $1B benchmark in revenue within 7 months after its launch in July 2016. There's much more to come in the future for the players of Pokémon Go.
