Honda, the Japanese Automaker is ready to unveil its another version of Honda City. The facelift model of Honda City car was seen earlier teased on Social Networking Platforms. Fresh reports claim that the car manufacturer is bringing the newest version of this model on February 14, 2017, in India.

According to Zee News, the Japanese manufacturer is reported to have placed six airbags into the upcoming model of Honda City. It was earlier seen that the previous model was incorporated with only two front airbags. The six airbags in the upcoming model are reportedly positioned as- dual front along with side and curtain airbags.

Honda City is ready to set a tough battle with the current mid-sized sedan Hyundai Verna, which is also included with the six airbags. Also, it is reported that Hyundai will launch the next-gen Verna in the country soon and is also expected to be equipped with the same number of airbags.

According to News 18, the new facelift version of Honda City is reported to be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel powertrains as seen in the previous model.

The exteriors and the interiors of the car are reported to have undergone changes along with the safety features that will end up being more advantageous to the next customers of Honda. It is reported that the new facelift model of Honda City takes inspiration of its elder and senior car -Honda Civic. The changes that are made in the car when compare to the previous model includes-

Front:

  • The headlamps have tweaked and now house LED daytime running lamps.
  • The front bumper has been restyled as well, with more prominent divisions for the front air dam and fog lamp housings.

Rear:

  • The addition of a tailgate-mounted spoiler, along with tweaked taillamps with LED inserts.

Also, it is reported that the facelift Honda City could have revised suspension and a raised suspension setup to cope better with the Indian road conditions. Other additions to the car include 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, electric sunroof, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, six airbags, LED tail lamps, LED fog lamps and an engine start-stop system as well.
