'Robin Hood: Origins' Will Be Like 'John Wick' Shot In A Medieval Setting

When Lionsgate had decided to reveal that it is planning to send another "Robin Hood" film, the general reaction of the public was a pure surprise, as they questioned why it needs another film. The story of "Robin Hood" is indeed one of the most popular and undying stories ever told since the dawn of the 20th and 21st century.

What to Expect with the Upcoming Movie

However, the latest "Robin Hood" inspired-movie that Ridley Scott created had failed the people's expectations as it flopped massively. With this, one may then ask if we really need the 'Robin Hood: Origins'.

Hopefully, this upcoming movie will be worth every penny that its viewers would spend. This was the question that was frankly asked to Basil Iwanyk, the film's producer.

Iwanyk answered it with sheer confidence, saying that one of the main reasons why it would be a hit is because of the case. Taron Egerton will take the role of the young "Robin Hood," while Ben Mendehlson will be the Sheriff of Nottingham.

'Robin Hood: Origins' Will be a Movie Unlike No Other

Eve Hewson will play the role of Maid Marian. On top of it all, Jamie Foxx will also play Little John. According to Collider, Iwanyk also said that "Robin Hood: Origins" would have the theme similar to that of John Wick, full of action and stunt works.

To add up to this, the movie indeed has the respect of Hollywood. According to Slash Film, Mendelsohn decided to join the movie's filming right after Rogue One.

This was despite the numerous offers he had. With this, one can then say that the movie's script and storyline are indeed great. "Robin Hood: Origins" will hit the theaters on March 23, 2018.
