Yesterday, John Cena won WWE World Championship against AJ Styles at Royal Rumble 2017. The match turned out to be a record breaker as Cena equals Ric Flair's record to become 16-time world champion.

WWE writes that it was the match between 'The Face that Runs the Place' vs 'Champ that Runs the Camp'. This match thrust Cena into an even more rarified air. He joins WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair for the most World Title reigns ever.

It was the best match of the night between two Smackdown Live superstars who delivered a masterclass in wrestling. John Cena gave four Attitude Adjustments to AJ Styles during the match.

As written in THE Sun, Cena got the match underway with a huge elbow before the usual back-and-forth between the two juggernauts of the industry began. And it took Cena a quadruple of his big finisher - including one from the TOP ROPE - to write his name in WWE history.

Styles went for the Styles Clash but Cena countered to throw him onto the matt from a height. Former TNA star went for the Phenomenal Forearm but the opponent ducked and hit him with an Attitude Adjustment. Cena went to eliminate him but only got two counts.

Cena also managed to kick out the springboard move. He gave Facebuster and gave another AA to Styles. Styles managed to get back to the game and rolled Cena into the Calf Crusher.

Cena locked Styles in the Finger Four move which was made famous by legend Ric Flair. AJ pulled his opponent into an Armbar but could not hold it long and faced Powerbomb by Cena.

John Cena tried for a dropkick from the top rope but Styles hit a powerbomb but were not able to pin down Cena. So, Styles tried a modified backbreaker onto Cena's knee but Cena survived again.

Styles had to face AA from the top rope but he got a shoulder up and Cena was shocked. Cena then gave two more AAs to pin down WWE Champion AJ Styles.
