Moto Z Will Feature New Moto Mod And Processor That Will Compete With Other Smartphones [VIDEO]

As the new generation of smartphones is being released every now and then, many smartphone companies continue to develop and upgrade their products. And one of those companies who is persistent to keep up with others is Lenovo and Verizon venture. Reports are saying that they will introduce a new feature and an upgraded processor for their Moto Z product.

As Apple and Samsung still dominate the field in terms of high-end smartphones, Lenovo still believed that they can catch up with them as they release the new version of the Moto Z. The device was officially released globally late last year and this year it will be launch in a newly improved attribute. So what is the latest on this smartphone?

According to Digital Trends, as Lenovo's Moto Z and Moto Z Force have managed to keep up to Google's grand modular smartphone program called Project Ara, Lenovo was able to exceed 1 million sales in November which mean the project gave them success. Came in the Timewave, a new Moto Mod for the said devices.

The Timewave was a product of brainstorming ideas between Lenovo-Verizon and winners of "Transform the Smartphone Challenge" they've launched last year. This is not an ordinary type of accessories, Timewave is a case made of textured soft plastic that gives extra grip and a thick padding to shield against scratches and hard fall.

The Timewave is also called the "5D surface" wherein the whole back cover is touch-sensitive making custom controls and easy navigation of programs. For now, the Timewave is still not out of the market but recent reports are saying that it will begin shipping this coming spring. Aside from the Timewave, a new processor is about to give more power to the Moto Z.

According to Phone Arena, the device will now have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor from the previous Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. The Moto Z will also run under the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat which shows the intention of the Lenovo-owned brand to catch up with tech giants such as Apple, Samsung, and LG.

With a new Moto Mod and upgraded processor, Moto Z will sure be a big threat to other competitors that's been ruling the smartphone market today.
