The Taiwanese tech giant ASUS launched new flagships at the recently held CES 2017 event. Fresh reports are seen surfacing on the internet about the new flagships of Asus. Asus will have new flagships in the name of ZenFone 4 series which is reported to be coming out into the tech market in May 2017.

Based on the DigiTimes report, Asus smartphones shipments have dipped to 14.6 percent, the shipment dip is seen from 20.5 million to 17.5 million in one year according to sources from Taiwan's handset supply chain.

Also, the report adds that Asus plans the release of ZenFone 3 Zoom in February, and the ZenFone AR and ZenFone 4 products in the second quarter will help ramp up shipments as well as earnings for 2017. Presently, there are very few details about the ZenFone 4 series available at the moment.

The Chinese certification website TENAA was spotted with Asus X00GD which is assumed to be one of the smartphones in the upcoming ZenFone 4 series. The phone found on TENAA is rumored to have a 5.2-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display, 4850mAh battery, Android 7.0 Nougat and a 1.5GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6750 processor.

The TENAA website listed out several specifications such as a 13-megapixel rear camera, coupled with dual-tone LED flash, and an 8MP camera at the front, and a fingerprint sensor placed in the home button at the front. The phone will have variants based on RAM and Storages such 2GBRAM and16GB storage, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and 4GBRAM and 64GB Storage.

Asus ZenFone AR

Asus Zenfone AR Smartphone comes packed with TriCam system consisting of three rear cameras sensors with different functionalities like motion tracking, depth sensing, and high-resolution 23MP camera - that enables the phone to a create a 3D model of its surroundings and track its motion.

Asus ZenFone AR is a 5.7-inch WQHD Super AMOLED display screen smartphone. The device screen holds a resolution of 2560x1440. Under the hood, it is incorporated with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 processor that's been optimized for Google's Tango, coupled with a massive 8GB RAM, and Adreno 530 GPU.

Asus ZenFone 3

Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom Smartphone comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor.

The main highlight of the ZenFone 3 Zoom is a dual-camera setup on the device. On the rear, a 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor with 25mm wide-angle lens and f/1.7 aperture along with a dedicated 12MP, 56mm lens for 2.3x optical zoom can be found. The front facing camera in the phone is 13MP.

The Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom runs on Android 6.0 and is powered by a 5000mAh nonremovable battery. The phone is encased in an aluminum body, which is claimed to be the lightest and thinnest phone which measures 7.9mm thick and weighs in at 170 grams.
