The Toronto Raptors are sitting comfortably in the 2nd spot of the Eastern Conference division holding a 25-13 win-loss record. However, recent reports are spreading that they might acquire Taj Gibson from the Chicago Bulls before the trade deadline expires and further increase their chances of making it to the postseason.

The Raptors roster seems to be clicking both offensively and defensively. With All-Star duo of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan carrying the load of their offense, many believed that they will duplicate their performance from last season. But many also believed that their lineup will not be able to compete with powerhouse teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors.

Meanwhile, Gibson is steady with the Bulls by producing his usual numbers for them. He is a dependable defender and rebounder for the team in every given night. But, latest buzz have floated that the Bulls are said to be considering of trading him.

According to FOXSports, one analyst suggests that the Bulls should trade Taj Gibson right now. Aside from Gibson, teammates Jimmy Butler and Rajon Rondo was frequently being mentioned to trade deals as of late speculating that the team is said to be going for a rebuild.

The analyst specifically pointed out that though Gibson is a hard-worker, the Chicago Bulls should consider of not making the same mistakes they had last year. This is the same time last year that the Bulls forgo of not trading Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol and it backfired on them as both players walk away as a free agent and they got nothing in return.

Now, one report recommends that the Raptors should try and acquired the services of Gibson while it is still early. According to iSportsTimes, Taj Gibson could be a better option for the Toronto Raptors to augment their frontcourt and give threat to the defending champs Cleveland Cavaliers.

It is not a secret that the Raptors badly needs an able big man to fill in the void left by Bismack Biyombo in the middle. Biyombo, who left the Raptors and signed with the Orlando Magic last summer, was a big help in reinforcing their interior defense. And now that he is gone, Gibson will definitely fit in on that spot as an ideal replacement for Biyombo.
