Sasha Banks is back, but a lot of questions have been raised about the decision to take the belt off of her.

"The Boss" was pinned by Charlotte in her first major defense of the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam last month.

The loss was surprising and drew a lot of backlash, but reports then came out that Banks was dealing with an injury and could miss significant time. Had she been out long-term, this would have made sense, however that hasn't been the case.

It's possible the WWE expected the injury to be worse than it turned out to be. Still, the booking of SummerSlam made Banks' highly-anticipated win of the gold almost meaningless since her reign was so short.

Banks has already returned and will challenge Charlotte for the gold at Clash of the Champions on Sept. 25 live from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The WWE now has a tough decision as a win for Banks risks the company playing hot potato with the title and possibly devaluing it. Meanwhile, another loss could halt her momentum -- which was already hindered by the SummerSlam loss.

Another wild card in all of this is Bayley, who like Banks has quite the following. The former NXT Women's Champion scored a non-title victory over Charlotte on "RAW" this week and should be in line for a title shot down the line.

Hopefully the WWE will eventually have Banks and Bayley replicate their magic in NXT by working a program together, possibly leading to a WrestleMania match.

It's great that Banks is back quicker than anticipated, but the rushed SummerSlam booking by the WWE definitely put a damper on her first run with the championship.
