It all boils down to this for women's Olympic basketball as Team USA and Spain battle it out to see who will take home the gold and silver medals at the Summer Games on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro.

The Americans are looking for their sixth straight gold medal and eighth overall in Olympic history. Spain, meanwhile, is looking to win gold for the very first time.

The only other two countries to win the gold in the women's basketball tournament aside from Team USA are the Soviet Union (1976, 1980) and the Unified Team (1992).

Team USA has taken home the gold in Los Angeles (1984), Seoul (1988), Atlanta (1996), Sydney (2000), Athens (2004), Beijing (2008) and London (2012).

Spain toppled Serbia, 68-54, in the semifinals, while the United States overcame France, 86-67. The two losing countries will play each other for the bronze medal earlier in the day on Saturday.

Diana Taurasi notched 18 points for The United States in its win over France, while Maya Moore added 15 of her own.

When asked about the women's basketball team possibly not getting the attention it deserves for all of its success in these Games, Taurasi offered up a sarcastic response.

"Hey, we'll see after Saturday," Taurasi said, according to USA Today Sports. "Run around naked. We'll all get attention, win or lose."
