Robert Griffin's wife is shocked by the divorce proceedings he has entered with her.

It recently came to light that the Browns signal caller was getting set to part ways with Rebecca Liddicoat, his wife of three years with whom he has a daughter.

The two have been separated for months ever since Liddicoat found out about Griffin seeing Florida State track star Grete Sadeiko behind her back, according to TMZ Sports. Griffin was recently seen out and about with the blonde bombshell, so the relationship has continued on.

According to TMZ Sports, Griffin met Sadeiko on Instagram back in January, which was just seven months after Liddicoat gave birth to the couple's daughter.

The quarterback's wife discovered the social media-spawned secret relationship back in April and was furious, which caused her and Griffin to live separately from one another.

Though they haven't lived together for months, Liddicoat was trying to salvage the marriage and was apparently blindsided after discovering that Griffin had filed for divorce and was still seeing Sadeiko.

Griffin is so infatuated with Sadeiko that he recently got her name tattooed on his arm.

The quarterback met Liddicoat back in 2009 and they were engaged in 2010, eventually tying the knot in July 2013. After he stepped out on her, things became rocky between the two.

As his personal life makes headlines, Griffin is looking to resurrect his career with the Browns after being named starter on Aug. 8.

Griffin was under center when the Browns battled the Packers last Friday, a game they lost 17-11. The signal caller was 4-for-8 for 67 yards and threw an interception, while he didn't connect for a touchdown.

His NFL career started off with much fanfare and success, but he has been injury plagued and his career bottomed out with Washington last season. Now, the quarterback is looking to catch on with the Browns.

Griffin, 26, has completed 63.9 percent of his passes in his NFL career through three seasons and 37 games (35 starts) and has thrown for 8,097 yards with 40 touchdowns and 23 interceptions.
