Paige's 24th birthday was a rough one for her boyfriend, WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio.
The "Essence of Excellence" received a 30-day suspension for violating the WWE's wellness policy, an announcement that came on the same day his significant other was celebrating her day of birth.
The suspension, however, won't technically begin until Thursday.
"WWE has suspended Jose Rodriguez (Alberto Del Rio) for 30 days effective tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 18, for his first violation of the company's talent wellness policy," the company wrote in a public statement.
Del Rio's ban won't have a significant impact on the huge SummerSlam event because he wasn't yet booked for the card. He wrestled John Cena in a losing effort Tuesday night on "SmackDown Live."
The WWE presents SummerSlam live from the Barclays Center this Sunday. Paige is currently dealing with an injury, so she also won't be featured on the card.
Unlike Roman Reigns, who made a public mia culpa the minute after the WWE announced his suspension earlier this summer, Del Rio has yet to acknowledge the suspension as of this writing.
Paige, meanwhile, hasn't said anything about it either publicly, but has been acknowledging those who have given her happy birthday wishes on social media:

The Norwich, England native has been dealing with neck and back injuries and there is some concern that she has some nerve damage, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via WrestlingInc).
At first, there were theories of the couple's relationship being a "Total Divas" angle, but it quickly became obvious that the two really were together. Paige even got a "papi" tattoo to commemorate the relationship.
Paige and Del Rio's courtship first came to light when pictures of them kissing at a Disney theme park surfaced online.
Del Rio, 39, was previously married to a woman by the name of Angela Rodriguez, but it seems they've split up. Paige, 23, had her last well-known relationship with A Day To Remember rocker Kevin Skaff come to an end in the public eye on the "Total Divas" reality show.
The couple was separated by the WWE brand extension when Del Rio was drafted by "SmackDown Live" and Paige was selected by "RAW."
