The 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games continue in Brazil as the swimming portion of the proceedings commences.

Swimmers from all over the world will look to put themselves on the map in Saturday's action, all a part of Day 2 of the Summer Olympics.

The action for the men and women begins at 12 p.m. ET with the men's and women's 400m individual medley. From there, the women's 100m butterfly, men's 400m freestyle, men's 100m breathstroke and women's 4x100m freestyle relay will all take place.

Then, at 9 p.m. ET, the men's and women's 400m individual medley will take place with medals up for grabs. After that, the women's 100m butterfly semifinals, men's 400m freestyle final, men's 100m breathstroke final and women's 4x100m freestyle relay final will occur.

Maya DiRado, 23, will make her Olympics debut at the Rio Games, but, sick of the routine, she plans to retire following the outing. DiRado has finished college and has a new job lined up, so while preparing for the Olympics, she realized that her career in swimming should come to an end.

"I was so bored!" she told Yahoo Sports. "That was honestly one of the hardest parts of this. Summers swimming ... you just veg out, go to practice, come back, watch TV, nap. And that's fine, but after a couple of months of that you're like, 'Oh my gosh, I can feel my brain atrophying!' At one point I was like, 'Well, if I keep swimming, was Stanford the most stressed my brain was ever going to get?' And that totally freaked me out. That further confirmed my decision to go into the working world after this."
