Cowboys fans don't have to worry about an overweight quarterback.

Social media was buzzing during the first day of Cowboys training camp when an unflattering picture of Tony Romo hit the Internet. The photo appeared to show an overweight, out of shape Romo jogging.

As it turns out, the angle and perspective of the photograph made it look deceiving, leading to the photographer offering up an explanation for the perceived weight gain.

"It certainly appears as if Romo is overweight. He is not," the photographer, Dallas Morning News reporter Jon Machota noted on the affiliate's website. "It was some poor camera work on my part."

The original photo is still available, while Machota also offered a different photo to prove Romo is just fine:

Romo, 36, is listed at 219 pounds, and is coming in off of a season where a left collarbone injury limited him to just four games. The quarterback owned a 68.6 completion percentage in 2015 and threw for 884 yards with more interceptions (7) than touchdowns (5).

The signal caller threw three of those picks in his final game of the season -- a Thanksgiving drubbing at the hands of the eventual NFC champion Panthers, in which he reinjured his left shoulder after being sacked.

Dallas finished 2015 with a dreadful 4-12 record and missed the playoffs for the fifth time in the last six seasons.

Entering his 13th NFL season, Romo owns a 65.3 career completion percentage and has thrown for 34,154 yards with 247 touchdowns and 117 interceptions. Romo is a four-time Pro Bowler entering the 2016 campaign.
