The road to SummerSlam continues as the WWE rings in August with this week's edition of "Monday Night RAW" live from the Philips Arena in Atlanta.

There should be plenty of storylines to go around as the company prepares for "The Biggest Event of the Summer," which emanates live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Aug. 21. With just 20 nights until SummerSlam, the buildup to the second-biggest show of the year is set to continue for the "RAW" brand.

Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and general manager Mick Foley should have plenty of surprises in store. Here are five things to watch for this week on "RAW."

1) Univeral Struggle

The "RAW" brand is set to crown the first ever WWE Universal Champion at SummerSlam. It was revealed last week that Finn Balor will take on Seth Rollins for the belt on Aug. 21. Both of these Superstars will look to gain momentum toward their match. "The Demon" took out elite Superstars to get to this match in his "RAW' debut last week.

2) Beast Of Burden

The WWE is hyping the return of Brock Lesnar, who is set to enter a WWE ring for the first time since he defeated Dean Ambrose at WrestleMania 32. It will also mark "The Beast's" first appearance in the company since his UFC 200 victory over Mark Hunt and subsequent failed anti-doping tests. Lesnar is due to face Randy Orton at SummerSlam, but with "The Viper" now being a part of "SmackDown Live," it remains to be seen who will be in his path this week.

3) Banks Statement

Sasha Banks won the WWE Women's Championship last week on "RAW," and while there were rumors the decision was made because Charlotte needed time off, it turns out the WWE just wanted to kick off the New Era of the Red Brand with a bang. The former champion is already on the war path as both ladies will engage in a rematch at SummerSlam.

4) Gold Rush

With most of The Wyatt Family over on "SmackDown Live," it appears The New Day has moved on to a feud with The Club, which could lead to a clash for the Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam. Rounding out he title-holders for "RAW," it's unlikely United States Champion Rusev will be there after geting married to Lana over the weekend.

5) New Era Rising

While Balor and Banks have already established themselves as huge stars for the "RAW" brand going forward, there are plenty of other stars who could be on the rise soon. With the brand extension helping to get more talent some screen time, tonight will give other stars a chance to breakout into the forefront.
