Andrew Luck usually plays quarterback, but one of his ex-teammates had him going on the defensive.

The Colts quarterback was recently chastised by his former teammate, signal caller Matt Hasselbeck, over his hygiene routines. Hasselbeck, now an ESPN commentator, claimed that Luck doesn't shower.

"He takes pride in not showering," Hasselbeck said recently.

With this being 2016 and everything in the NFL being newsworthy, the subject was brought up to Luck, who claimed not only was Hasselbeck wrong, but he was doubly wrong:

Storylines about showering and hygiene will be cast aside come Sept. 11 when the Colts welcome in the Lions for Week 1 action in Indianapolis to usher in a new football season.

Luck, 26, will enter his fifth season under center for the Colts.

The three-time Pro Bowler will look to avoid the injury bug that bit him in 2015 and held him to just seven games. Luck dealt with a shoulder injury early on in the campaign and suffered a lacerated kidney and a partially torn abdominal muscle.

In his stead, Hasselbeck started under center for Indianapolis.

Through seven games last season, the quarterback owned a 55.3 completion percentage while throwing for 1,881 yards with 15 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. In 55 career starts, Luck owns a 58.1 completion percentage with 14,838 yards, 101 touchdowns and 55 interceptions.

It was a tough season for the Colts in 2015 as they finished 8-8, marking the first time they missed the postseason since 2011, when they finished 2-14.

The NFL season is right around the corner, so Luck won't have to deal with questions of his hygiene soon enough.
