Behind every good man there's an even better woman, and luckily for Brock Osweiler, his wife also comes through for him professionally.

The Texans paid the quarterback big bucks to bolt from the Broncos this offseason. With that money came a lot of work as Osweiler needs to now learn a new playbook. Luckily, his wife, Erin, is there to help.

Osweiler recently revealed that he enlisted his wife to help him visualize and remember the playbook for Houston.

"My wife will act as the offensive coordinator at times during the evening," Osweiler told ESPN. "I'll have her read the full play to me. I'll sit there and try to picture it, spit it back out to her, make sure I'm verbalizing it the right way so that when I step into the huddle the next day in practice, things are coming out clear."

Earlier this offseason, the Texans signed Osweiller to a four-year deal worth $72 million. The pact included $37 million in guaranteed money and a $12 million signing bonus. Houston is expecting Osweiler, 25, to help them build upon last year's success now that he's in the fold.

In 2015, the Texans finished 9-7 for the second straight year and earned a playoff berth, but they fell in the Wild Card round to the Chiefs, getting shutout 30-0.

In order to provide a spark, Osweiler knows how important remembering the facets of the offense is.

"That's the playbook, that's getting to know your teammates," he said. "Understanding the ins and the outs and the operation and style of this building and how our strength staff operates."

The Texans showed a lot of faith in Osweiler, who appeared in just eight games last season (seven starts) and completed 61.8 percent of his passes for 1,967 yards with 10 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Osweiler and his wife made headlines earlier this offseason when they were involved in an altercation outside of an Arizona pizza shop at around 2 a.m. on Mar. 5.

The couple was out with their friends when a group of hecklers approached them and one woman tried to go after his wife. The quarterback restrained the woman using minimum physical force and the situation didn't escalate from there.

With all of that behind them, the Osweilers look forward to a new life in Houston and are even helping one another get acclimated.
